Windsock

The clouds have been quite amazing this week and I have been doing too much city sketching so today I went to a place where I could get some good views of sky. Macdonald farm in Ste. Anne de Bellevue is always a favourite for me because of all the old farm buildings. Fortunately there were no silage operations going on (like when I held a workshop in June) and there was a perfect spot to set up my easel in the shade.

Another fresh, fluid and beautiful sketch Shari. I like the way the sky has granulated
and those lovely grey greens in contrast. Could you tell us how you achieved them? :)

I like it, particularly the wires. But I thought that this scene had looked a little more colourful in the past… has a bit of a bleak feel today.
And is that your winter studio parked nearby?

    • Thanks Ross. I used a limited palette on this one so the colours are more muted than this scene has been in the past. And that is someone else’s winter studio, not mine : )

I love these bright light colours. Looks like a bright windy summer day.
