The butcher and the fishmonger
Posted: February 15, 2013 Filed under: Uncategorized 11 CommentsI waste a lot of time driving around trying to find the perfect place to sketch. So my new tactic is to have my book with me and sketch if I am in a waiting room, or on my lunch hour or in the case of today, in the grocery store. One thing I can tell you is that the butcher and the fishmonger were a lot more interested in what I was doing than the students in the lunchroom. I had to show everyone my sketches and in the case of Muhammed, the butcher, I had to promise to bring him a photocopy of the sketch (especially since he insisted on posing so nicely for me with his filet mignon.)

Now if he’d just offer up a discount on one of those fillets… wouldn’t that be nice 🙂 Excellent sketches.
I wish!! They looked pretty good.
Haha! That’s great. I keep thinking I should have my book with me when I’m waiting in the check out line.
You would really have to sketch fast for that!
Great idea! Sounds like you had a lot of fun doing this, too!
Yes Mrs. P. It was a lot of fun. I’ll probably do this again sometime.
Really nice drawings. Have you ever done portraits in watercolor?
Portraits in watercolour. The final frontier Lee.
Those are so hard for me but I will probably start one of these days. I have done figure painting in watercolour but not portraits. Have you done any?
No watercolor portraits by me, either.
It was interesting,i m charbel the other boutcher…:-) i hope that a day, u come back again 🙂
It was great meeting you Charbel. I will come back to sketch for sure. I have to bring Muhammed his sketch!
