Still wrapped

En route between a meeting and school, I stopped in NDG for barely 20 minutes to sketch. I chose this scene because the little bundled cedars at the base of the tree seemed like a metaphor for us Montrealers — scarves still wrapped around our necks, warm coats on — waiting for some warm spring weather. Even the buds on the tree itself seemed hesitant to emerge.

Shari, No matter what the subject is, you can sketch it in an interesting way! Pretty darn amazing!
I really wish I didn’t live on the other side of the country, cuz I’d love to come to your workshop. And of course, I’m kicking myself for having missed you when you were in Portland last year!!

    • Thanks! This was really a quick one. I had other ideas of what I wanted to do yesterday but my meeting was unexpectedly long and I ran out of time.
As for Portland, it was a great workshop but I’m sure we’ll come out west at some point again.
