Dark corner

After much rain the gardens in Montreal are starting to look a bit overgrown. At least mine is. That’s also partly because I tend more to my sketching obsession than to my plants. This dark corner is a mosaic of light and dark greens tiles with one or two white ones thrown in.

Lovely, Shari. Have you had a chance to take a look at my Flickr page recently? I have been putting up the Turkey sketchbook. Many more pages to go. Here is the link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/sketchrboy/sets/72157633983140709/

Is Barcelona finished or has it not yet begun?

    • Thanks Lee. Last time I looked at Flickr there were only one or two sketches but I’m glad there are more now. I will go immediately!!
Barcelona is in mid-July but I will be sketching by the sea in the northeastern US very soon so watch for those.

Nicely done! Although I am not sure what goes through your mind when you choose a subject like this… do you have a masochistic tendency that makes you want to try to paint such difficult things?

Beautiful garden sketch!, and coincidentaly yesterday I went to the Bot. Garden and try a similar scene, little flowers groing under the shade of a pine tree, so the 3 steps instruction you give us comes right on time for me!!! shall try again, thank you Shari!
