…from little acorns grow

For some reason — possibly weather or stress to the oak tree — the acorn crop is abundant this year. I go to sleep at night and wake up in the morning to the sound of acorns dropping on my backyard deck. Inspired by my friend Lee who has been doing some beautiful little gems of drawings in a teeny tiny sketchbook, I picked up this 4″ x 3″ Pantone sketchbook (yes, another of the gifts from my Barcelona Symposium bag) and did a drawing with my Micron 005 pen.

Nothing like a carefully rendered drawing to make artists and viewers see and admire the wonders of nature. Beautifuly placed on the paper, the leaves seem to be carrying the acorn somewhere. I love the ondulating leaves stems… this time I see music in your drawing.

You know… some people are given a hard time if they draw “things sitting on a table” : )
BTW, in the drawing, I can see two foxes wearing sunglasses.
