That kind of day
Posted: May 2, 2014 Filed under: Uncategorized 36 CommentsIt’s that kind of day. Sunny one minute and pouring rain the next. I’ll admit that I did try to do something rather detailed but in the end the best way to portray this type of turbulent sky is with a quick impression.
Wow.
Swooning over this……………………………………..

This is what I want to try this summer – working without a drawing – how daring 🙂

Powers of observation really showing here. I can see the rain splashing in the street! Upward instead of falling down. You got it perfectly!

Hi Shari, of course i like your sketches and appreciate your technique, otherwise i would obviously not visit your site. But this one is a real “wow, look this” sketch to me because of its special energy. Hilarious! (And i hope the word means what i meant 🙂

wow! this painting rocks, love the colors and the beautiful technique makes a great atmosphere, one of my favorites I must say 🙂 I wonder how you paint the flou parts so atmospheric,
yet so controlled, i wish i could do that, really great! The road looks more like a dry watercolor technique i guess, have you used masked fluid for the white parts?
