Cemetery light

On warm autumn days I sometimes escape for an hour to the cemetery next to my school for a bit of quiet sketching time. When the sun is out, it’s a perfect spot to sketch the lights and darks of grass and foliage, and it gets even better as the colours start to change. Today I noticed just the slightest and subtlest warming and yellowing of the distant trees.

I look forward to these each day. They are inspirational gems!

It would be appreciated if you could share images of your field kit. What you take. How much you have decided to haul around, and why. It was great that you shared information about the paper used and your old and much enjoyed brush. Cheers!
