Happy, happy holidays
Posted: December 24, 2019 Filed under: Uncategorized 39 CommentsDuring the holiday season the beach here fills up with families, and I could draw there all day. It’s great to practice people drawing skills because configurations of chairs and bodies are constantly changing, so you end up relying on memory to fill in a lot of the blanks for colour, shadow and body parts. It’s a great exercise.
I hope that wherever you are during this holiday season, you are having a wonderful time with family and friends. Thanks so much for following along on the blog this year, and sending comments and notes. It’s still a great joy for me to draw, post, and write about my daily sketches. Hope to sketch with you somewhere fun in 2020!

I’m excited to meet you too, and of course to paint in San Miguel de Allende. I’ve been looking at photos of Montreal this week, and it is completely green. I’m pretty sure there’s no snow on the wheelbarrow, but that could soon change. Hope you have a wonderful holiday. See you soon!

Happy Holidays, Shari! You headed south and I headed north to Maine. It was a brisk 21 degrees when I went out sketching/painting in my “mobile studio” this morning. There are a few tiny patches of snow around but mostly just ice along the edges of the water. Enjoy the warmth of Florida. I would love to be sitting in the warmth of the sun.
Thank you for sharing so much of your work and your knowledge with all of us this year! Hope to see you somewhere although without the Symposium people are very scattered this year. I’m not sure where I am heading yet.
