The ugly season

If winter in Montreal is all about the cold and the snow, then spring is about the mess that is left behind when the snow melts. Plastic bags and water bottles that lay hidden are now littered about on the side of the road. And the pretty little mounds created by the snowplows melt away to reveal great piles of dirt and debris — our very own slag heaps.

Wow, a new palette of colours for painting the snow! Looks mucky and great at the same time.

And, can you please explain to me why there are so many no-parking signs in your paintings?

Shari — you would just have to add a few words and this would be a beautiful start for a comic 😉
