Door to nowhere
Posted: April 3, 2012 Filed under: Uncategorized 7 CommentsThe other day when I was painting in Griffintown I saw a second-story door that opened onto a missing balcony. I never did get a chance to sketch it but today I noticed another one in Pointe-Claire village. That led me to wonder if the owner has any intention of rebuilding it one day or if they just use if for ousting unwanted guests.

you’re funny.
Hi Michelle. Well, there is humour in these doors, no? You must have wanted a door like this in your house at some time…
There’s one of those in my town, too. I think it should be a Weekly Theme…. “Doors to Nowhere.” Or “Doors you don’t want to open and go through.”
This is awesome, awesome, awesome! I love the metaphor… just a fantastic idea / subject, I think.
Ok, suggest it as a weekly theme. I bet I will find more if I keep looking around Montreal.
Another beauty.
Thanks René. I was just looking at your work online. I really like the watercolour of “Spring”.
Please sign me up for the Montreal workshop. I would love to study with you again!
I’ll send you info later today Shelagh. I’m just finalizing it. I would love to have you in my class again!
