Great people, Shari! You have really caught the intensity of the game.
I would love to put people in my paintings but just don’t know how. Perhaps the subject for another workshop!

  6. Hurray! Portraiture! This is a dying art and one that I have toiled away for so many years with such little reward. Perhaps you will revive it! All the power to you!

That’s a hard one! I hope you are enjoying Paris, but I am sure you are!

  8. Ross C says:

Great people, Shari! It’s good that you are taking on this challenge… particularly if it results in more of these sketches.
But where next will you find such slow moving people in Paris? …from my experience, perhaps the queue at the base of the Eiffel Tower or the crowd around the Mona Lisa?

  9. textplus says:

Thank you for the great examples of ink and wash. It’s a style I’d love to master. Do you draw directly in ink, or do a pencil sketch first, or wash first?

  10. Lisa Mastorakos says:

You really captured their intensity! I hope you are having a wonderful time in Paris.

  11. sketchysteven says:

Yay! Can’t wait to see more and more people stuff! You’ll kill it! I know you will. 🙂

  12. Oh Shari I don’t think you are in any way less adept in portraiture than anyone as you have clearly shown that you can do anything and excel at it. You are like a magician who always has another trick. I had no idea how much talent you had and am in awe in seeing your evolution on a daily basis. Enjoy Paris!:)
