Dog Day afternoon
Posted: August 26, 2014 Filed under: Uncategorized 10 CommentsOn my drive home from work I heard on the radio that today is International Dog Day. I celebrated the event by taking my dog for a walk and then sketching her. As you can see it took her a while to get comfortable.

love the way you have suggested the solidity of the dog with just line……….oops I just snapped my pencil!
After a long summer of painting it really feels good to get back to just simple line drawings. Love that pencil too.
Incredible sketches! After looking through them, I knew I had to follow your excellent work. Visit Texas sometime! I would love to see sketches from here.
Thanks so much Lightford. I haven’t had any invitions to paint in Texas but maybe one of these days I will make it there.
What a happy dog!! Love your pencil work.
She is a happy dog. Thanks Charlie!
can I post one of your sketches on my community FB page Carroll Ann Susco?
Hi Carroll,
Thanks for asking before using the sketch. Before you post it could you please let me know what sketch you want to use and what the FB page is for?
Regards,
Shari
I have a community Facebook page under Carroll Ann Susco where I post artists every so often and then promote the page. I just like to promote the arts and artists I like. I think your sketches are wonderful. Please send me one you would like posted and I will post it. Otherwise, let me know where I can find the old ones and I will pick one. Have a great day. Carroll

These are wonderful sketches, Shari. I know that feeling of trying to get comfortable before sleeping – I’m a bit of a wiggler, too.
