Olive
Posted: December 22, 2023 Filed under: Uncategorized 14 CommentsOlive is a little one-year old Boxer. She’s our son’s dog, and she’s here with him for the holidays. This morning she had a long run in the woods with Alice, and they were both taking a nap in the sun when I started drawing them. Of course Olive, being a puppy, changed positions and eventually got up and then sat on my feet as I drew. Alice slept in the same position the whole time. You’re probably wondering if the two dogs get along. Alice tolerates Olive, but she has no patience for Olive’s constant affection and desire to curl up with her. But when they are both tired, I can capture them together in a drawing. This one was done on my iPad in Procreate. I’m sure you’ll see more of Olive during the next few weeks, and hopefully I’ll get a better drawing of her next time.
Poor Alice, but it sounds so sweet that Olive wants to curl up with her.
Alice is getting used to her. Last time Olive was here they actually ended up playing together after 3 days. It just takes a bit of time for Alice to warm up to Olive’s puppyish charm.

Looking forward to more pictures of the two of them. We had had boxers for years. I just lost my last about 3 months ago. If only I were young enough to get another boxer puppy. I bet it is hard for Alice to put up with a puppy,
