Red fox circling and summer workshops

As I started to pencil in this painting I noticed a red fox near the fence in the distance. It made a big circle in the paddock to my right and then suddenly it was staring at me, just a few feet away from the car door. It continued to circle the field, pacing impatiently the whole time I was there. Clearly I was an intruder.

Painting all this snow has me longing for some summer heat and has got me thinking about holding some watercolour workshops in Montreal this summer. If you’d like to get some info, email me at sblaukopf (at) gmail (dot) com.

In the shadow of the silos

I’d love to be in your workshops. Unfortunately i’ts way too far away.

like the silos… I would have simplified them as cylinders instead of expressing the panels.

    • Ya, I think I overworked them. I should have left them clean. Sometimes it’s so hard to see what I am doing when my painting is on my lap. I can’t get any distance. Stepping back and squinting to look at the painting really helps to see what is going on but I can’t do that in the car. Plus I had the sun in my eyes. Excuses, excuses. It’s a bad painting but I posted it anyway.

Wish I lived a little closer to Montreal! I could use some schoolin’. 🙂

This is nice… and I like the silos… looks a lot like here… well except the snow.
