This is my music
Posted: February 18, 2012 Filed under: Uncategorized 7 CommentsThe best thing about painting in my car on Saturday morning is listening to “This is my music” on the CBC. Every week there’s a different invited musician who makes a playlist and talks about the music that shaped their life and musical career. Today the host was cellist Susie Napper and when I tuned in Artur Rubinstein was playing Chopin. Here’s a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNcb3inSg2I

Nice work, Shari.
But all that talk about Spring over the past few days leaves me puzzled… all I see is snow and sub-zero temperatures. Is it just that all Montrealers are optimists?
Oops. Forgot to tick the “notify me” box.
Montrealers are optimists. We suffer for 6 months of cold and at the first sign of spring we think that winter is over. But it’s not really over until April. Nature just teases us for a while.
nice little ‘slice of view’ Sheri. I need to save this to remind me not to paint objects with one flat colour.
Thanks John. I only had a short time to do this but I’m happy with the result.
wonderful as always. Thanks for the link to the music you were listening to… really nice to hear what you heard when this was painted. And of couse…Chopin…..sigh!!!!!!! I love Chopin but funnily enough have never sketched to him…will have to do something about that!
Thanks Liz. Well it was from your great post that I got the idea to put the link to music listened to while sketching, so thanks again for that.
