All askew

These days I find myself drawn to parts of Montreal where everything is a little bit wonkier than in the suburbs. Most of this past winter I drew scenes of my suburban surroundings where everything is flat, mostly symmetrical, often newish and (after 175 posts!) getting quite boring. There’s also not much street life in the suburbs. For all of those reasons I ended up near the Atwater Market this morning. This is what was in front of me but the shapes were equally interesting to my right or my left and I will be back there soon.

  1. Wow Shari this has got to be one of my favourites. To capture transparency in the car is quite a feat. Bravo

    • Thanks Liliane. I don’t usually put cars in but I am trying to attack some new things like cars and people so there it is, right in the foreground!!

Great job on the car which is not easy,I know.

This is really fun and energetic – love the reflections in the car glass.
