Super simple
Posted: September 21, 2012 Filed under: ink, Montreal, suburban, watercolour 9 CommentsI haven’t done anything in my tiny Moleskine in a long time. It was my constant companion when I started sketching almost a year ago. These days I have been working on bigger sheets, trying out new paper, working in different ways, so this was like a reunion with an old friend.
Open the book. Put down a few lines. Add a bit of colour. Done.

Hi Shari,
Is this the little 3 1/2 X 5 1/2 Moleskine?
I love the almost abstract shapes you used and the color is great as usual!
Those triangle shapes in front are intriguing.
That is the one Linda. The lawns in my neighborhood have drainage ditches near the street with culverts. The triangles are the sides of the support for the front walk or the driveway.
Great Shari. I’ve been sketching in this same book and seeing this makes me realize I really need to keep it simple. Capture the essence and then stop! Another super composition.
Thanks Alison. Yes, I still love this little book. And I love using the vertical format of it itoo.
I love how you capture the essence of a place!
I love how you capture the essence of a place and time !

Thanks Monique : )
