Under the wire
Posted: October 31, 2024 Filed under: Uncategorized 4 CommentsI flew out the door at 4 pm to sketch the last of the pumpkins at the local farm stand. It was a sorry display of rejected gourds, dried out perennial grasses and overgrown ornamental cabbage. There were a few scary black cat cutouts that had blown to the ground in today’s wind, but it was still fun to be in my car studio. I couldn’t let a Halloween go by without sketching a few of these. And then as fast as I got there, I flew home to empty my boxes of tiny chocolate bars in a big bowl before the first of the trick or treaters arrived!

But you made them all still look very Halloween-worthy, Shari. I hope the trick or treaters leave you some chocolate!
Don’t worry Lois. My husband just grabbed a few Coffee Crisp out of the bowl and set them aside for us!!
I think you should hand out mini paintings of chocolate bars-inspire a whole new generation of fans!
I can’t imagine that these kids would be happy to be handed a little painting instead of a chocolate bar, but who knows?? Maybe I underestimate them.
