Droopy bouquet

The Delta series contains thick ivory-coloured paper and the small size book is perfect for tucking into even the smallest bag that I carry on daily errands. It’s been an overly busy summer but I am trying to keep up the daily drawing habit, and there are no excuses when you always have the book with you. It took a couple of tries to find the right pen to use with this but the winner is a Pilot Juice Up 0.3 gel pen. The roller ball nib glides beautifully on this paper, and the fine tip is ideal for even the tiniest of flowers in my droopy bouquet.

You are an inspiration. I started (last November) using a 3″x3″ ‘practice’ sketchbook that I carried with me to coffee shops and everywhere. I am on the last 6 pages of the 80- double-page book. Practice makes progress. Your sketching tips have been so helpful.
Wilt thou?
I love pen sketches, and this is no exception!
Thanks for making me smile, Naomi!
With dilated pupils (just home from an eye appt) I read Dopey Banquet. What? That doesn’t sound like Shari. LOL I really like the way you’ve used the ivory paper and the black ink gives the subject a timeless quality. This could be an antique from my grandmother’s era.
Jan, Dopey Banquet works for me too. I know that feeling of the dilated pupils. Glad your eyes cleared enough to allow you to look at my droopy AND dopey bouquet.
What is the size of this small sketchbook?
Laura, this is 3.5 x 5.5 inches portrait format.
lovely
Thanks!
A charming sketch–doesn’t look droopy, just fully out.
Thanks Robyn.
Beautiful sketch, really enjoyed seeing this. Thanks for posting!
