Yellow door
Posted: December 10, 2011 Filed under: Uncategorized 4 CommentsOne of the things I like about doing one sketch a day is that I get to pick a little something that I want to capture. Today it is colour in sunlight and shadow, especially on the yellow door. And today I realized that when I draw in my car, everything is a little bit crooked. This scene wasn’t straight ahead — it was on my left so I guess drawing at an angle puts everything off.

Very nice colors!! What a pleasure to see your sketches! What is their format in general?!
Thank you! I work in a Moleskine Watercolour 8″ x 5″. Sometimes also in the smaller format 5″ x 3″ if I’m not too ambitious that day.
I just love your work, so much energy. I don’t paint in water colours but use Genesis paint, which can be used like oil or water colour. Your work is so interesting!

HI Frances. Thanks for the encouragement. I’ve never heard of Genesis paint. I will have to look it up. Nice to hear from you.
