Working with a model
Posted: January 22, 2012 Filed under: Uncategorized 4 CommentsToday I felt like an art student again. I went to the Sunday life drawing studio at Université de Québec and spent three hours drawing the model. Everything from 30 second to 20 minute poses. I managed to do a lot of drawings in charcoal and graphite but getting those on the scanner is a bit of challenge. I would have had to scan them in about 10 sections each and then stitch them together in Photoshop. More time than I have to spend. Instead, here is a watercolour that I did during a fifteen minute pose.
Hi Shari,
Nice work! I was wondering if you can give me more details about this life drawing studio that you went to at UQUAM. I’ve looked it up but can’t seem to find the specifics.
Let me know when you get a chance.
Thank you.

Great work! Nice change of pace and subject, Shari. Beautiful colours in the skin tones… and great use of the white page.
