May day
Posted: May 1, 2018 Filed under: Uncategorized 13 CommentsLucky me. On two occasions during the day, friends walked through the door with flowers. And it’s not even my birthday. Since I only got around to sketching this evening, I started with the daffodils which are more open and may not last as long.
Beautiful and simple Shari😅

Did you paint first of ink first? The are lovely.

I put the ink on first Deborah. I usually do that or else I end up colouring between the lines like a colouring book. I prefer when ink and wash are offset. Thanks so much for writing.

So nice to have friends who bring flowers! This has been a long winter, so dreary and cold. It’s a delight to see daffodils scattered throughout yards near our home. Deer walk through our yard and eat up tulips so we can only have daffodils. Luckily, deer don’t bother them…so far!
Great sketch. Thanks.
