If you come to Portland and I can take your workshop, I want to focus on how you keep and use your whites. So effective!
I totally agree with you… how does she do it?
Ah, Jane. If we do a workshop together in Montreal I will you give you all the secrets of the whites too…
Hi Mike. I hope I get to come to Portland! Then I will give you all the secrets of keeping the whites.
Interesting change in mood from outside to inside. The fine pen work adds a different sense of definition to your work. What thickness and kind of pen do you use. Overall affect is cozy and warm.
Hi Valerie. The pen I use often is a Micron .005, so quite fine. Sometimes I also use a Sakura Microperm 01. That was what I used today.
These are always my favourite… ink and colour. I love this!
Thanks Jane. It’s nice to get back to these. I missed my my pen.
When I first started following your blog, I preferred your pen & wash sketches. Now, though, I seem to prefer the straight watercolour paintings… I think that is because, over the past months, you have got so much better at those. But it is still nice to see that pen again.
This is a nicely balanced composition and I have to agree with the others, the white highlights on the fabrics just look great.
Thanks Ross. It’s nice to mix things up a bit.
