Alice at home

In case you are interested, she survived the tooth extraction and is now home making us laugh because she’s still a bit loopy from the anaesthetic, and she keeps flopping over on her bed. But she just ate some soft food — almost nothing stops labs from eating, including a swollen mouth — and I know that she’ll be her normal self by tomorrow.
So glad to hear Alice is doing well!

Malinda, thanks. Alice is never critical of my art, but I get the feeling that sometimes she resents how much time I spend finishing up a painting when she needs a walk. But she’s always patients. Glad you have a sketching buddy too.

I draw and paint our cat Roscoe often as he sleeps. Cats take L O N G naps luckily for me. Please keep sending your pet portraits. They are inspiring.

Our border collie has this exact thing, complete with the facial lump. He was not bothered in the least by the extraction. Alice will do great!

So happy to hear that Alice is well after her tooth extraction! I hate to see animals in pain. They don’t understand. My horse had to have 6 molars extracted and those things are Big! It was like Star Wars equipment, but he did just fine. Soft mush for a while. Glad Alice is on the mend!
