May day

Lucky me. On two occasions during the day, friends walked through the door with flowers. And it’s not even my birthday. Since I only got around to sketching this evening, I started with the daffodils which are more open and may not last as long.

So nice to have friends who bring flowers! This has been a long winter, so dreary and cold. It’s a delight to see daffodils scattered throughout yards near our home. Deer walk through our yard and eat up tulips so we can only have daffodils. Luckily, deer don’t bother them…so far!
    Great sketch. Thanks.
