Posted: September 18, 2023 Filed under: Uncategorized 30 CommentsAfter almost a month at the dog sitter’s house, Alice is happy to be home. She follows me around everywhere, but after a long walk she closes her eyes and sleeps in my office as I work. We are both happy to catch up on things, her on her usual activities of eating, playing, walking and sleeping, and me on groceries, cooking, laundry, and eventually scanning my sketches from France. I was hoping to post some of the work while I was away but my teaching days were long and the wifi was unreliable, so I decided to wait. I was going to start scanning today but it was just too much fun to sketch Alice while she slept. And for those of you who wondered what happened to my blog posts, they are back and so am I. Thanks for asking and thanks for waiting.

Welcome back dear Alice! And Shari too!
Thanks so much Jean!!
Enjoy each other’s company!
We sure will!!
Just so glad you are okay and that all is well. Welcome home!
All is well Ginny. It was just a very busy trip and before that a very busy family time. Thanks for the welcome!
Great to see Alice again, especially sporting today’s wake-up the senses colours 😉
Welcome home!
Thanks Chris! Happy to be home!!
I was just thinking about you yesterday and went to your website for any info and as if you read my mind you’re back. Welcome back and looking forward to your sketches.
Thanks so much Sharon. It’s so nice to read all the comments and warm welcomes. It is much appreciated!
Happy to know you are home safe and sound.
Alice must be as content as she looks on your sketch.
A memorable workshop and trip.
Thank you for all you put into the workshop for us sketchers and painters.
Germaine Niedzielski
Germaine, it was such a pleasure to meet you and Susan. I have a great memory of our lunch and sketching in Giverny!!
As for Alice, she is my shadow today!!
Welcome home–to you and to Alice!
Thanks Lois. We are both happy to be home!!
Welcome back, isn’t it great dogs do not seem to have a sense of time & … enjoy packing 😉
No sense of time at all but when we took a walk and stopped to visit friends, she became very apprehensive. I think she thought I was going to leave her again. And she hates it when we take out suitcases because that is also associated with a trip away…
Exactly. We have to pack in our spare bedroom. Otherwise Scarlotte hides.
I will have to remember that good idea for next time!!
I can tell how happy Alice is!
Me too!!
Oh,Alice:). She looks so happy and peaceful…
Welcome home!
She sure is. She’s by my side at all times since we returned!!
Don’t know whether to tell you or not but I had a postcard from Alice while you were away saying how much fun she was having …..
Thank you for making me laugh out loud.
Great to have you back!
Thanks!!
Delighted to have you and Alice back here Shari😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks so much Theresa!!
So good to have you back…where you belong…with Alice nearby. I was gone briefly, out of town for a same day surgery. Our cat Roscoe, has been sitting on the arm rest of the couch as I sit and recover. He’s never been so attentive. It makes me smile learning that Alice is also like your shadow since you returned.
So good that you are back home for Alice and all who follow you.
Welcome back!!! Alice must have missed you terribly. She may not leave your side now. I did follow what you were able to post and it seems like a really wonderful trip.
